Eco-Tourism Safari (9 Days / 8 Nights) - Kenya

Day 1:- Arrival in Nairobi
Arrival Nairobi airport on board your flight. Met and greeted with our 'traditional style' welcome and escorted to a city hotel of your choice by African Propoor Tourism Development staff. Time permitting, afternoon is spent on a Nairobi city orientation sightseeing tour including a visit to the Kibera Slums one of the biggest slum in the sub-saharan region.

This evening, a safari briefing is conducted by your tour manager in readiness for your upcoming safari. Optional dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. [Bed & Breakfast]. Overnight at Nairobi Safari Club.

Day 2:- Cross Equator to Samburu National Reserve - Elephant Bedroom Camp
After breakfast, drive through the semi-arid area of northern KENYA, meet the Pastoralist Samburu people as they graze their cattle and goats. Cross the Equator and arrive at Elephant Bedroom Camp. Samburu Reserve is famous for the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk, Colobus monkey, beisa oryx and Grevy's zebra. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive, exploring the beauty and ruggedness of this game park. Overnight stay at Elephant Bedroom Camp [Full Board]

Day 3:-  Full Day in Samburu National Reserve - Elephant Bedroom Camp
Full day viewing the big game and the rare species associated with the Northern Kenya; Reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra,Beisa oryx and Graceful gerenuk.. Morning and afternoon game drives. Ecotourism activities here include; day and night game drives, on which guests are accompanied by experienced guides;guided walks, especially bird watching, Overnight stay in Elephant Bedroom Camp [Full Board]

Day 4:- Drive to Congreve Conservancy in Nakuru - Bweha Camp
Depart for Nakuru via the scenic uplands road with weather permitting, panoramic views of the Africa's Great Rift Valley 600m below. Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views over the Eburru and Mau ranges. Congreve Conservancy is part of the greater conservancy area called Soysambu which has a large part of Elementaita within its borders. Afternoon game/bird viewing in the Conservancy. Day 5:-  Visit to NaKuru National Park
After breakfast depart for a morning game drive in Nakuru National Park in search for flamingoes around the lake shore and the black rhinos. Later return to the camp for lunch. This afternoon you engange in Ecotourism facities such as  walking, mountain biking and night game drive. Overnight at Bweha Camp [Full Board]

Day 6: Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at  Tipilikwani Camp. Full Board.

Day 7 & 8 Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve - Tipilikwani Camp.
Early breakfast is followed by an exciting full morning's game-viewing drive including a visit to Mara River to view the hippos. Early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast. Whole day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. This afternoon visit a cultural village and a community project.  Meals and overnight at  Tipilikwani Camp. Full Board.

Day 9: Depart from Maasai Mara
After breakfast drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. Lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Carnivore Barbecue Experience is also described as 'Meat Eaters Paradise' and is the Africa's Greatest Eating Experience! After lunch, transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward arrangements. APTDC representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in.
